Working Safely at Height (WAH)

Course Overview

Working at Height (WAH) is one of the highest-risk activities in many industries, where inadequate planning, improper use of equipment, or unsafe work practices can lead to serious injuries or fatalities. This course provides participants with the essential knowledge and practical understanding to perform work at height safely by covering legal requirements, job hazard analysis (JHA), safe work procedures, working at height principles, personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection equipment, rope maneuvering techniques, basic knots and hauling systems, as well as emergency preparedness and response. Upon completion, participants will be equipped to identify hazards, implement safe working practices, and contribute to creating a safer working environment when performing tasks at height. This overview aligns with the learning objectives and core topics outlined in the NIOSH Working Safely at Height (WAH) curriculum.
